Pose Challenge 2010

After quite a long (and unexpected) break, it’s time to revive the pose challenge. I hope people are still interested in sharing their zany photos. If you are, please look at the details below:

Details:

  • Send an email to me, please use a subject line like “Pose Challenge 2010″
  • You can submit photos or videos. For photos, please don’t send large animated GIFs, since it slows down loading. For videos, please provide a link to YouTube, Daily Motion, or other sites that enable embedded videos
  • I will only use your first name (or a nickname) in the actual post
  • If you want me to plug something, feel free to provide a website, blog, twitter, or facebook link
  • Feel free to do a pose that’s not on this site, and name it
  • Multi panel photos with many poses are always preferred
  • Be crazy, be funny! Isn’t that what these poses are all about? :)
  • Once I get a dozen or so submissions, I’ll start posting
  • You can look at some past pose challenge submissions for an idea of what makes it on this site
  • If you’re really young, I would advise that you don’t submit, since I will exclude to avoid any issues related to that :(

Thanks to Chad for providing the cute v-sign photo of Katelynn seen above.

Claws Challenge!

Time for another challenge! Hopefully with the recent inactivity here, there are still posing enthusiasts out there that are ready to prove their skills. The last voting challenge was the nyan nyan challenge won by Cat. The challenge this time is another favourite post of mine: the claws pose.

If you’re interested, send an email before November 21 @ 11:59 EST.

Nyan Nyan~ Challenge!

For those of you looking for another challenge, perhaps I can interest you in the nyan nyan ~ challenge. For this challenge, submit 1 photo with the best nyan nyan pose you or your friends can do. This challenge will include voting by readers so we can figure out who’s the best! If you’re up for the challenge, please submit photos by August 20, 2009.

Edit: I forgot to say, the photos should be sent to my email with a descriptive subject line like “Nyan Nyan challenge.”

Quick! Take His Photo

It recently came to my attention from Peter Nguyen that Digg founder Kevin Rose had written this interesting tweet:

kevin-rose-twitter2

I’m still new to Twitter, but from my understanding, writing such a statement forms a binding, non-negotiable contract that he is obligated to fulfill. I look forward to seeing these photos if they ever get on the Internet and maybe if a magazine gets to him first, he will have a slightly different pose when compared to this old Business Week cover.

Pose Challenge!

One of the primary goals of this site is to spread the knowledge of Asian poses so that people would start trying them out. When I start seeing people do these poses, it brings a feeling that can only be described as self-actualization.

If you’d like to show the world your Asian poses, you can submit a photo/link/video by shooting me an email (not to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I won’t post everything I get). This site is currently seen by more than 7,000 visitors a day, so it is a great way to share your poses :)

A brilliant example comes from the charming and cute FuriousFeng, who demonstrates her excellent posing skills in this multi-panel image:
